For Discharge me, we were approached to create an HTML5 game that help users to learn the rules of patient discharge while playing with a computer. A user has been asked the questions at every level and based on their answers he moves his patients with all hospital formalities.
Being one of the leading healthcare education organization nThrive users are highly professional and will not accept anything less than the best. Besides, the game canvas should have equal ease of accessibility for small devices. The result was a game that always remains with learners whether they are in office or travelling the world.
We used HTML5 and Pixi.js to create an interactive game canvas that clearly reflects the hospital environment. User select a patient he wants to discharge, answers the questions and move the patient based on score. At every point they encounter different situations and chances to gain more points to win against the computer.
Start with selecting a patient among patty, healthy, cranky and nanny.
Choose a right answer among multiple choice question, get score, role dies and move the patient in hospital premises.
Each step in hospital has a unique chance cards that gives extra points, and bonus moves.
A spinner that can double or half the moves based on the stop option.
At winning point players can set a wager with whatever points they earn, if he is right he can score double.
Here is how we developed the application.
